FAQ: Common Questions

Published 2026-04-30

Is GPT financial advice?

No. Genuine Private Trading is not registered with the FMA and does not provide financial advice. We share collective research and operational structure within a private network. Every member makes their own trading decisions and is solely responsible for outcomes.

How do fees work?

Members pay a monthly or annual membership plan (prices include 15% GST) for administration and access. Separately, a performance-based service fee of 5% applies to realised profit on each completed weekly Capsule, totalled monthly and invoiced with 15% GST — approximately 5.75% of monthly profits including GST. No profit means no performance fee.

  • Membership fee: fixed plan, GST invoice issued
  • Performance fee: only on profitable Capsules
  • Capsules spanning two months: attributed to the closing month

How do I report results?

Approved members submit weekly Capsule reports and a monthly summary through our reporting forms. A simple profit/loss figure is sufficient; optional broker screenshots help verification. Accurate reporting ensures fair performance fee calculation.

Do I need a specific broker?

You need a platform that offers reliable USA share trading and, ideally, fractional shares for scaling. We publish platform guidance by country but do not mandate a single broker. You are responsible for account setup, costs, and execution.

Can anyone join?

No. Membership is limited to people known within our trusted network. Applications are reviewed individually. GPT is a private collective — not a public fund or open trading room.
