What Is a Private Trading Collective?

Published 2026-01-08

A closed circle, not a public product

A private trading collective is a closed group of trusted individuals who share experiences, research perspectives, and operational rhythm around share trading. Genuine Private Trading (GPT) is invitation-only for friends, acquaintances, and people personally known within our network in New Zealand and internationally. We are not a public fund, not a pooled investment scheme, and not a signal service open to strangers.

Shared research, individual decisions

Each week we publish a USA Capsule — five researched USA shares held for one trading week — and members decide independently whether and how to participate at their own broker. Capital stays in each member's account; we do not hold or pool member funds. Nothing shared within GPT should be treated as a recommendation or instruction to buy or sell.

  • Members execute their own trades on their chosen platform
  • No pooled capital or discretionary management by GPT
  • Participation is voluntary every week

How GPT is structured

GPT charges a nominal membership fee (GST-inclusive) for administration and access, plus a performance-based service fee on realised Capsule profits for the strategy feed and website. These fees cover collective resources — they do not constitute investment management or financial advice. We are not registered with the FMA.

Important disclaimer
